Dog in the Mirror Productions was built on a simple belief: no matter how filmmaking changes, a good story is still where everything begins.
Our journey stretches back more than four decades, from the days of shooting on film and physically cutting and splicing footage by hand, through videotape, digital production, nonlinear editing, and the remarkable creative tools available to filmmakers today. Every generation has changed the way movies can be made, but never the reason we make them.
Founded by filmmaker Rob Gore, Dog in the Mirror Productions brings together a lifetime of experience in writing, producing, directing, acting, production design, editing, and filmmaking education. That experience has shaped an approach centered not on technology, but on characters, emotion, humor, and the moments that connect an audience to a story.
Today, Dog in the Mirror continues to explore both traditional and emerging filmmaking techniques, including the rapidly evolving possibilities of artificial intelligence. We see these tools as part of the same creative evolution that has always defined filmmaking—new ways to help writers, directors, and artists bring stories to the screen.
